PastorBruce The Rev. Bruce G. Osterhout

Pastor Bruce Osterhout was ordained in May, 1986.
He celebrated his 31st Ordination Anniversary in May, 2017.
His spouse is the Rev. Julie Grasham-Osterhout who serves
with the people of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wernersville, PA.
Together, they have 6 grown children and 5 grandchildren.


Previously, Pastor Bruce served for 24.5 years in the City of Reading with the
congregations of Christ-Glenside and St. Luke’s, 9th and Green Streets.
His first call was to the congregation of Christ Lutheran Church, Roanoke,
Virginia as an Associate Pastor.

He graduated from the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, Columbia SC
in 1986 with a Master of Divinity degree.  He is a 1982 graduate of the former
Upsala College, East Orange, NJ.  He served his internship with the people of the
Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Tampa, Florida.  He was confirmed at the
Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Canoga Park, California.
He was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Altamont NY.

Pastor Bruce is active in the Northern Berks community, promoting the
‘Faith at the Movies Series” at The Hamburg Strand Theater (on the 4th Tuesdays
of each month at 7 pm), working to support the Northern Berks Food Pantry
and The Potato Project, and volunteering at Perry Elementary Center with
the program before school.

Pastor Bruce enjoys gardening, reading, the outdoors, and antiquing.
He is a baseball fan and enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.
