Welcome & Outreach

Zion’s Lutheran Church welcomes all people to come worship, serve, and grow together in faith.
Zion’s is a church for all generations with many activities each month that you are invited to participate in.

Zion’s Senior Adults (any adult of any age, really)
Senior Adults usually meet on the third Thursdays of each month from 11 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Card games, board games, and lunch are shared.  “Hausey” and pinochle are favorite card games.
The group plans its’ own activities. Food, like sandwiches and pizza, are often ordered for lunch.
Participants bring fruit, salad, and desserts to share.  Donations are collected to cover expenses each month.
New friends are always welcome.

Attend the Faith at the Movies events
The Hamburg Strand on the 4th Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m.  Cost $8 per person includes a small soda and small popcorn.
Movie watchers briefly discuss the movie afterward from a faith perspective. The Reading Berks Conference of Churches
partners with the Northern Berks Ministerium to sponsor these monthly gatherings.

Slow down – Rest – Reflect.  Visit Zion’s new Labyrinth
The Labyrinth is an ancient tool for reflection on one’s life and one’s spiritual journey
enhancing prayer, contemplation, and/or personal growth. The Labyrinth introduces
us to the idea of a gracious path to God, one that is horizontal instead of vertical where
there is room for error and forgiveness.
Come – take a slow thoughtful walk on our labyrinth.

LENT & ADVENT SERVICES
Through the Northern Berks Ministerium, Zion’s welcomes Northern Berks residents on some Thursday mornings
during Advent (December) and Lent (March) to participate in joint worship at 11:30 a.m. with a soup buffet for lunch.
Check our calendar for scheduled dates.
