Property Committee

The Property Committee is responsible for the care and upkeep of the church building and grounds. It meets monthly to plan and schedule projects. It will oversee and maintain the church property and grounds through the care, repair, and maintenance of all church property, equipment, and landscaping of the church grounds. It will make minor repairs and take on projects whenever feasible; Call appropriate people to make repairs for specific jobs; Organize lawn mowing and snow removal schedules; Prepare the yearly budget for the property committee; Make recommendations to council for specific jobs;  Supervise the congregation’s custodian’s duties and performance; Prepare a long-range plan for building and ground improvements and periodic maintenance, working closely with other committees and groups to determine anticipated needs.   The Property Committee also coordinates the volunteers that mow the church property and shovel snow from the walks in winter.

Handyman qualities are needed to maintain the upkeep of the church and are valued in our volunteers.  If you are looking for a way to serve your church and have skills to offer, please join us in providing a safe and well maintained property to enjoy.

The Property Committee meetings are held the 3rd Thursday of every month.
