Pastor Stephanie Roth

Pastor Stephanie Roth was born and raised in Hanover, Pennsylvania. In December of 1987 Stephanie received a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from York College of Pennsylvania. She worked as a computer programmer analyst in a variety of industries for over 30 years.

While volunteering at St Paul’s Chapel in New York City post 9/11, Stephanie experienced her call to ministry. In January 2003 she began seminary studies at Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia and was awarded a Master of Divinity in May 2011. Following graduation, Stephanie served as Youth Ministry Director for Trinity Lutheran Church in Wernersville, PA in 2011.

In the ensuing years, Stephanie has focused on social ministry outreach and congregational leadership at her home church. Over the years she has done mission work in El Salvador and Guatemala drilling fresh water wells, volunteering at an orphanage and with an elder care program. In addition, Pastor Stephanie has worked with several sessions of Camp Noah including leading Camp Noah in Rockport, TX and volunteering on National Youth Gathering Staff in Houston, TX.

In 2019 Stephanie returned to ELCA candidacy process. She completed her Clinical Pastoral Education unit at Wellspan in York, PA in April 2022. Her year-long internship with Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, PA ended in June 2023.  Pastor Stephanie continued to serve at Trinity until she began her first call here at Zions in January 2024.

Pastor Stephanie and her husband, Don have been married since 2014 and currently reside in Exeter Township near Reading, PA. Their blended family includes six children and fourteen grandchildren. Pastor Stephanie loves visiting new places and has had opportunities to travel domestically and internationally including trips to Egypt, Poland, and Israel. Her goal is to visit all fifty states – she only has a few more to reach her goal.
